REGULATIONS PREPARING STARS FESTIVAL 2023
The Cultural Association Orasul Talentelor and
PS Academy Music School, organizes between October 11-14 2023, the PREPARING STARS INTERNATIONAL festival. The objective of the
festival is the selection and promotion of young talents in the completion of a
complete artistic act; in stimulating the spirit of competition, communication
and fair play between participants. The festival is open to all children and
young people aged 3 to 50+ from kindergartens, schools, palaces / children's
clubs (state or private), worldwide.
FESTIVAL SCHEDULE
*: WEDNESDAY ,
OCTOBER 11 : 13-15 arrival of delegations & PARTY
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12 : First day of the Contest
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13 : workshop, the next day of contest &
GALA
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14 : Departure of delegations
* Depending on the
number of participants, the organizers reserve the right to make changes to the
initial program
CATEGORIES
(each category is judged individually)
A. NATIVE LANGUAGE : 3-4, 5-6; 7-8; 9 - 10;
11-12; 13-14; 15-16; 17-18; 19-30 (max duration 4 min)
B. FOREIGN LANGUAGE: 3-4, 5-6; 7-8; 9 - 10;
11-12; 13-14; 15-16; 17-18; 19-30. (Maximum duration 4 min)
C. MUSICAL: In this
category, any piece of a musical, with a max. duration of 7 minutes, can
participate
D. MOVIE: In this
category, any song that is part of the soundtrack of a movie, in any language,
with a max. duration of 4 minutes, can participate
E. FOLKLORE: in this
category you participate with a single song, max. duration of 4 minutes, and
the folk costume specific to the area is mandatory
F. DUETS (for this
category fill in the registration form separately)
G. GROUPS (for this
category the registration form is filled in separately)
H. RAP, TRAP, HIP-HOP
I. THEATER : in this
category we accept monologues/dialogues with a max. duration of 10 minutes

!!!! IMPORTANT NOTE !!!!
All competitors will
perform on stage with MP3 instrumental on audio, each competitor must have the
negative on USB at the festival . The
songs chosen by the contestants can be from any type of repertoire, but they
should match, as much as possible at the age and vocal range of the soloists.
The organizers
reserve the right to determine the number of contestants admitted to the
festival and the order of entry to the contest.
All competitors -
soloists and groups will be present both in the competition and in the gala;
the presence of the winners in the gala is mandatory, otherwise they will not
be able to claim their prizes.
All competitors must
follow the rules, the festival program, not to damage the goods in the
performance area and on stage, to present a costume appropriate to the song,
both on the day of the competition and at the gala.
Laureates who will
not be present at the gala will not be able to pick up their prizes.
Any deviation from
these rules may result in the competitor being eliminated from the competition.
In any case,
competitors must not disturb the members of the jury & the organizers before, during or after the competition.
The official photos will be posted on the official pages of the
organizers.
Videos can be bought
from organizers at the prize of 15 euros
/ video.
HOW TO APPLY
Registration
is done by email at ps4academy@gmail.com ….. AND
CONSISTS IN :
STEP
1: Email us at ps4academy@gmail.com, which will contain the following *:
1.
Instrumental of the song, in MP3 format (we do not accept registrations via
WhatsApp!)
2.
Entry form - completed correctly and completely, with signature
3.
Copy of birth certificate or identity card
4.
JPG bust color photos (3-5 photos)
IMPORTANT
: IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED INVITATIONS FOR OUR FESTIVAL, WITH FREE FEE OF 1 SONG,
PLEASE ATTACH A PHOTO OF THE INVITATION ON EMAIL
STEP
2: We will check if you have sent us all infos and send you details needed to
make the payment.
You
send us the payment of half ( fee for
songs & festival package ), and you will pay the rest of the amount in the
day of arrival.
* By submitting these materials, you agree
that PREGATIM STARURI SRL will use the name and image of the competitor to
promote it on the blog and on the official pages of the contest.
REGISTRATION FEE:
50 euros / category
The deadline for sending
the materials is AUGUST 15, 2023.
Submitted materials are not returnable.
FESTIVAL PACKAGE :
250 euros / person in double
room , 3 nights ( 11,12 & 13 of october )
The festival package is for half board ( breakfast &
dinner included )
Awards
The trophy and the I, II, III prizes will be
awarded for each age category, depending on the grading scale. The organizers,
depending on the categories, reserve the right to double or triple some prizes.
Also, depending on the value of the artistic performances, special mentions and
prizes will be awarded.
The PREPARING STARS
FESTIVAL TROPHY will be won by the competitor with the highest average
regardless of the age category, and who by his evolution particularly impressed
the jury.
NEW !!!! PS ACADEMY
TROPHY !!!! The students of the PS Academy singing school will designate their
favorite this year as well, through a surprise trophy.
JURY
The jury will be composed of specialists in
the fields that make up the perfect artist: singing, art performance, media and
choreography. The competitor will be marked with points from 50 to 100. The
judging criteria are: vocal qualities, vocal transmission, diction, artistic
interpretation, stage movement, originality.
Each juror will grade
in terms of the field he or she represents. The final score will result from
the accumulation of all the jurors' marks, divided by their number.
The decisions of the
jury are irrevocable and cannot be challenged.
